Wellbeing Facilitator (Permanent, Part Time)

The main aim of this role is to engage people to improve their wellbeing. SYHA’s approach to wellbeing is based upon the New Economics Foundation’s ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ which means that through our work with customers, we aim to improve wellbeing through Connecting, Staying Active, Taking Notice, Giving and Keeping Learning.As a Wellbeing Facilitator, you will help reduce social isolation, promote positive health and well-being, engage customers in joining in with activities and promote the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences.

In this role you will:

  • Work creatively, to provide a meaningful programme of activities and advice to promote the health and wellbeing of our customers
  • Work with other professionals to help improve health and well-being
  • Keep records that will evidence your work with customers
  • Access emails and electronic computer systems independently
  • Gain peoples trust and respect, working with them individually and in groups
  • Work as part of the team in monitoring and evaluating the quality of the service we provide

For the purposes of the Rehabilitation of Offenders this role is an excluded job.

Working Hours: Must be available to work Monday—Friday working a total of 18.5 hours. The hours will be between 09:00-16:30 Staff must be available to work between these hours. 

Salary: Starting salary of 1B £15,857 per annum, pro rata. Plus generous holidays and benefits
